The Circular Fashion Federation is launching a working group dedicated to the profitability of post-purchase circular models (second-hand, rental, repair/maintenance). The objective: to objectify the economic conditions for their implementation and demonstrate that they can constitute real drivers of growth, in addition to their environmental and social benefits.

This group, led by Violette Watine and the FMC team, will bring together brands, solution providers, and ecosystem stakeholders to analyze existing models, share key economic data, and co-construct practical modeling tools. The final deliverable will aim to equip CSR and general management teams and provide concrete benchmarks for economic stakeholders, public authorities, and investors.

The Circular Creation working group, led by Pascaline Wilhelm (ENAMOMA-PSL) and Lou Esteban-Causse (FMC), has the mission of analyzing the place of creation in circular fashion and identifying levers to support the development of professions and creative innovations in a fashion industry that must meet current environmental requirements.

After identifying and defining circular fashion practices and professions, highlighting the regulatory implications for supporting the different sectors and setting up a circular digital product passport, we are now focusing on creating a creative monitoring hub. Thanks to this creative monitoring tool accessible to all members, our goal is to harmonize the level of knowledge on innovations in circular fashion in Europe. This tool will thus promote collaborations and accelerate the development of circular and creative fashion.

The Regulatory Affairs working group, led by theFederation's advocacy team and Alexandra Lange, allows members to follow the major regulatory advances in our sector and to collectively define the FMC's advocacy strategy. As part of this working group, the FMC has drafted a white book listing all the regulations applicable to circular fashion companies, which will be regularly updated.

The Digital Product Passport working group aims to prepare and anticipate the implementation of a Digital Product Passport for fully circular TLCs, the mandatory application of which is planned for 2033. To this end, the working group led by Léa Gillet (Trace For Good) and Mélanie Bradaia (Arianee) and created in 2024, aims to establish a nomenclature for referencing circular fashion products. The objective is to standardize the DPP by taking into account the technical specificities of circular fashion and to ensure that all of these processes are transcribed in a relevant manner (reuse, repair, upcycling, etc.).
