A study co-conducted by the Circular Fashion Federation and KPMG France

On the occasion of the Circular Fashion Day 2025, we had the pleasure of unveiling the first figures of our new study, conducted in partnership with KPMG, devoted to the dynamics of the circular fashion in Europe and growth prospects by 2030.

The result of in-depth collective work, this study explores the key drivers of the circular transition through four structuring pillars: “Reinvent, Reuse, Repair and Recycle”

A transformation already underway

Thanks to numerous testimonies from committed actors, the study draws up a state of play of the European market, marked by:

  • Growing adoption of theEco conception, which allows brands to better meet regulatory and societal expectations;
  • The growth of second-hand models, driven by specialized platforms and resale initiatives integrated with brands;
  • A rise of repair, encouraged by public measures such as the repair bonus;
  • Significant progress on the textile recycling.

Ambitious prospects on a European scale by 2030

By projecting French dynamics onto the European scale, the study reveals the major economic and social potential of circular fashion :

  • 31,3 billion euros in turnover could be generated in Europe via circular models by 2030;
  • Near 88 500 Jobs could be created on the continent;
  • Growth supported by favorable regulations and structural changes in textile consumption.
