Towards a
more sustainable
fashion industry

ABOUT

The Circular Fashion Federation is a professional organization that brings together more than 250 members from across the circular fashion ecosystem. Its mission is to promote circularity
in the fashion industry and to support the transition of its players towards a more sustainable model.

For transparent responsible and fair fashion.

We represent circular fashion professionals and companies in the textile recycling industry. By being the voice of all circular fashion stakeholders, the Federation is committed to strengthening the competitiveness of the French fashion and textile recycling industry. With the growing circularity of our international economy, the Federation thus contributes to strengthening Paris in its role as the world capital of fashion and France as the most innovative country in fashion.

Circular fashion

Circular fashion aims to extend the life of clothing and shoes by adopting business and production models focused on eco-design, repair, rental, reuse, upcycling and recycling. It challenges the linear economic model by promoting more responsible and reasoned consumption.

By reducing textile waste, preserving natural resources and reducing greenhouse gas emissions, circular fashion actively contributes to protecting the environment.

Circular fashion opens up new perspectives for the economy, notably through the creation of jobs, the improvement of competitiveness and the development of new profitability models.

As a tool for innovation and creativity, circular fashion inspires entrepreneurs, industrialists and designers every day to push the boundaries of their discipline, thus enabling the emergence of innovative and sustainable products and processes.

OUR MISSIONS

Actively represent all members to coordinate the development of circular fashion in France and Europe.

At the national and international level, the Federation brings to institutions a strategic, social, economic, technological and political vision of fashion and textile recycling. In order to involve all its members in this process of developing circular fashion, the Federation organizes and actively participates in institutional meetings, conferences and round tables, strategic discussions and regularly takes a position for a fairer and more responsible fashion. It also publishes each year its white paper, the Common Program for Circular Fashion, which constitutes the mandate that the FMC carries on behalf of its members to the public authorities.

Support all members of the Federation in their socio-economic development through access to a range of services and collaborative projects.

Related to business development covering a multitude of verticals (legal, economic, industrial, social, digital and marketing), this support takes several forms: working groups dedicated to technical issues, meetings, training and conferences to keep informed of the latest news in the sector. This axis is also embodied by individual meetings to work on the issues of our members on a case-by-case basis.

Promoting transparency, impact education and compliance with fashion industry standards.

By aligning all stakeholders in circular fashion and textile recycling with the challenges of traceability in the value chain, the Federation disseminates a vision through the events it organizes, such as Circular Fashion Day, which takes place every year in April, but also through the promotion of the activities carried out by its members within the framework of external events (trade fairs for textile or sustainable development stakeholders, conventions, festivals, etc.).
