The Manifesto, developed in collaboration with over 300 member companies, serves as a practical tool for European stakeholders to strengthen the EU’s textile industry, promote fair competition, and uphold environmental standards and human rights—all while working towards a competitive European fashion industry that contributes to sustainable prosperity.

It focuses on 5 main levers:

• Tackling unfair competition in circular fashion through trade measures and public procurement ;
• The role of VAT in promoting circularity in the Fashion industry ;
• Consumer information: driving systemic change through knowledge and accountability ;
• Harmonizing the extended producer responsibility system to promote circularity ;
• Promoting the development of textile collection, sorting and recycling in Europe.
